JANICE EWING, FNP, MSN, RN-C received her Bachelor of Science (1986) and Master of Science (1996) degrees in Nursing from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee.  Prior to becoming a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she practiced nursing at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital and at Surgical Associates of Kingsport.   She has extensive experience in caring for critically ill patients with ventilator-dependent, dialysis-dependent, cardiac, orthopedic, surgical, and trauma-related illnesses.   As a nurse practitioner she has worked in local Family Practice offices where she diagnosed and treated common health problems as well as provided care for many patients residing in Long Term Care facilities in the Kingsport area.  She is licensed as a Registered Nurse and a Family Nurse Practitioner in Tennessee and Virginia.   Janice is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, International Honor Society of Nursing, and Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Society of East Tennessee.  She has practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Regional Neurosurgery since May 2005.
